2017-2017 AIU APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM

The Allegheny Intermediate Unit’s Apprenticeship Program consists of a half-day or daylong learning experience per month over a six or seven month period during the school year. Students meet and work with professionals who share their experience, expertise, enthusiasm and zeal for what they do for a living. The program provides for hands-on, behind-the-scenes experiences and gives students the opportunities to make connections with organizations and people who can help them as they pursue their career choices.

2. Avian Care & Training - National Aviary
3. Biotechnology - Blended Sites
4. Mechanical Engineering - Blended Sites
5. Musical Theater - Pittsburgh Musical Theater
6. Robotics - Carnegie Science Center
7. Nursing & Healthcare Careers - UPMC Sites

To apply:
- Complete an online application
- Get one teacher recommendation (the teacher will need to do this online)
- Mail the signature page and fee to the Allegheny Intermediate Unit (attached)

Applications will be accepted for the 2016-2017 school year until June 10, 2016.
