September 21st 2009, 7pm. Russian dance and music ensemble Barynya concert in Juarez, Chihuahua (Mexico).

Only 100 pesos will get you to see full length "Barynya" show in one of the most dangerous city in the world - Juarez, Mexico. According to the travel blog by TravelPod and many other sources Juarez is the top criminal town in the world. The violence generated by the war of the drug cartels for control of drug routes translated into some 1,600 killings in 2008, three times more than the most murderous city in the United States. As of July 14, 2009, the body count in Juarez surpassed 1000, which is an acceleration over the year 2008. In this carnage-racked border city of 1.3 million, more than 80 murders have been clocked in the past three weeks.

Walking in the streets of Juarez without balalaika, garmoshka or huge Russian Bear costume is an extreme sport.
