The group here seems pretty slow to any type of meeting. I propose the ones who are willing to meet someplace do. Maybe a meeting will get the juices flowing here and more action on the board. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions as to times or places please post. I live on the east side of town but am willing to travel (like Bakersfield is that big) to other parts of town to get to know some peeps.

I suggest pizza. And beer.

Pizza!
An install fest would be nice.

I drink, but not when installing an OS...Piazza can be consumed while I'm installing.

I haven't been to the place in years but there is a Pizzaville USA at 700 Oak Street, Bakersfield, CA 93304-1737. It's the middle of town for the most part, those that want beer with their pizza can have some. I'll propose a time but any time works well for me. Something like Wed or Thurs, 6:00 or 6:30. Gives people time to get off work/school, get home and change. Anyone want to propose something else I'm up for it.

Charles.

I won't be able to make it tonight either, nor tomorrow night.
We should get some sort of calender setup with possible days for meeting up. :p

That's cool I was actually having a problem trying to fit everything in today I needed to. If you think it will help I'll set up a calendar and share it with everyone, unless there is already a built in group calendar? How often you guys want to try and do this? Once a quarter, once a month, every other week? I'll throw some other interesting dates, conferences and such.

The sharing thing my have to do, or we could utilize the lugworld site.

I had made a BakoLUG group on there a while ago, it was before any of the old lug leaders/main people replied to my spam. ;-)

There's a calender on there and it may be easier for those who don't use gmail.

What do you think?

+1 For once a month

Aww, a glass of wine or a martini always makes the installation experience that much sweeter ;)
