Hi Group

We came back from holiday, and had some money left so I took my 180
DTS for a service.
R1700.,00 later, a service, and all lights, and small issues sorted
out. She is much better now.
All but the revving above 7000 rpm.

I mostly ride her between about 3 and 6 000 reves, but the odd times I
am overtaking a truck or car, she seems to battle when I get to about
6500 to 7000. She now has a little more power then before the service,
but still battles. Is this a thing with Bajaj or is only my little
bike that does that? I would think she should quit easily get to about
9 000 revs without battling.

One other strange quirk she has is she goes into neutral every now and
then, but now since the service a lot less then before. This usually
happens when she is between 3rd and 4th gear. Once of twice she even,
by her self, changed down a gear. Very strange.

I have now been commuting with here to work for the last week, rather
than using the Gautrain, and have saved almost R400.00 in train fares.
And the total petrol I have spent on her is a mere R260.00.

Hi All

All the best for 2011, despite all the rain

I have found that on my Avenger the gears tend to jump around unless you
really kick it into the next gear. i.e. a very positive click into the next
gear up or down.

I think there have been a few posts on this matter. As to the revs, you are
lucky, the Avenger doesn't have a rev counter.

By the way who around Kempton Park/Benoni are riding Avengers?

I have seen two bikes already, but going in the opposite direction to me.

Hi, Anton

My Pulsar struggles above 7000 rpm as well, I find that about 6500 is
the best time to shift up. It's been in the shop for repairs for a
while now, but as soon as I get it back, I'll check it and confirm
with you.

I also find my gears need quite a sharp kick to get from first to
second, I've gotten used to it now though, so it seldom gives me
problems. She is a lovely bike, sips petrol very lightly :-)

Hope I helped!
James
