Don't think so.   Looks like that one has weld on frame mounts?  Maybe because its for diesels as they would need them?  I know Nick developed his own because we were talking early in when he was still tuning the design.

Thanks.

The Marks adapter (spud shaft) is well proven, and some with a lot more torque than Frank is using. For me... Rule no. 1: Try to use parts that have been proven in real service, then shop around in that pool to pick a solution.

The tricky little thing is exactly what steel to use and the heat treating has to be just right. That's the proprietary part for all of these adapter makers.

I like that 'the forum member' is doing this, and wish him all the luck with it. But I don't want to do the development qualification (HALT failure testing) for him.

Needs to find a lab with a bigger machine than this.
Then how to shock test? + thermal.
There's a lot of work left to do.

Check out his thread on 90Source...He's making a spud shaft out of 300m for guys dropping a 580HP motor in a Defender. That's WAY TOO MUCH HP for one these, whether or not it's a 110 to 130. Shit, 400HP is way too much, somebodies gonna kill themselves doing 90mph on the highway

I'd question that.  When did I contact them can you remember?  Want to say it was a couple of years ago?  Whenever it was they said they had no plans to do the 6l80 at the time.   Aus doesn't have the 4wd boxes.  They have to convert 2wd boxes or ship them in from the us.

Thanks.

Why would he lie...told me it's been a kit a lot of people asking about and the difference between the 2wd and 4wd is the output shaft. It's a simple to adapt the 2wd unit.

That's straight from a phone conversation with Elliot, from Marks, in the land down under, I had with him last night.

and it closer to 3 to 4 years...

Yeah no reason I can think of.  Maybe it's longer than I thought since I contacted them and they only had the stick and 4spd auto adapters   I'm getting old.   Yes they can convert the 2wd to a dry housing 4wd.  They just have to order the housing from the us, drill a couple of holes and cut off part of the 2wd output shaft where it's threaded.  Not an issue for us we just get a 4wd box.

It's good they are doing one.   More people doing them the more and better options for us.

Thanks.

Options. This is cool. Because if my series T-case doesn't hold up to it, knakkers, I'll be out looking for a solution again. Maybe I'll try an auto box LT230 combo at that time.
