Some states have enacted laws that allow for more incarcerated
individuals to get out on cash bond without using a bonding company at
all. How is that even possible?

I was not aware that bail bonding companies were going out of
business. I know many jurisdictions are looking into pretrial service
programs that allow incarcerated individuals to be released on a
recognizance bond. I was not aware that there was a move in states to
release more people on cash bonds. Why would someone pay a cash baond
when they could use the services of a baonding company for less money?

I believe its because the courts in certain jurisdictions started
accepting a percentage on the bail just like a bail fee. This is a
threat to the whole industry but I don't think it is realistic. The
courts becoming credits on that kind of level will massively bog down
their systems more than they are already. Courts should leave bailing
people out of jail to the bail professionals!
