Job Title : Server/DevOps Engineer with AWS Cloud Exp

Location: Richardson, TX

Duration: 12 months

VISA STATUS – US CITIZEN / GREEN CARD / EAD ONLY

Summary:

Responsibilities

· Implement back-end architecture components, tasks, and services to support VR/phone/tablet/web/TV Samsung VR applications and services.

· Conduct engineering activities, projects, research and/or operational tests in conformance to functional specifications, design requirements, operational capacities and customer performance expectations.

· Debug Production issues raised by customers and customer support teams, isolate the cause and work towards a fix

· Participate in meetings with other staff members to evaluate, plan, and troubleshoot; and to ensure proper interface between software, systems and operational performance.

· Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

· Algorithm development, back-end automation, problem solving and scalability architecture

Required Skills

· 6-10 years of software development experience in a large scale Production environment.

· Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering in preferred.

· Ability to solve problems in a fast paced and dynamic environment with focus on maintaining high quality and standards.

· Experience with AWS preferred

· Experience with Git, Mercurial, Docker is a plus.

· Able to communicate in writing, through email and reports, or orally complex technical matters to an audience of equal or higher level technical competency.

· Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.

· Ability to deliver and accept feedback on code and design

· Strong experience working in a Unix system.

· Strong ability to debug unfamiliar distributed architectures and isolate problems

· Experience with AWS Python SDK

· Experience with deployment management tools such as Ansible, Chef or Puppet

· Experience with cloud-based monitoring service such as Datadog and PagerDuty

· Experience with cloud-based log management service such as loggly

· Experience in analyzing large data sets

· Experience in writing tests for the code written.

· Experience in Continuous integration preferred
