We are working quickly to repair vandalism damage at Beacon Hill Station. On Monday morning, a person entered a tunnel cross-passage, opened a standpipe valve, flooded critical electrical components and disabled the emergency ventilation fan.

Rider safety is our top priority, and fire codes prohibit us from resuming service in the northbound tunnel until we can repair this damage. We expect the necessary part to arrive Wednesday, and we expect to return to normal Connect 2020 service levels by Thursday.

Thank you for your patience during this additional disruption. We ride Link every day too, and we are just as frustrated by this thoughtless act of vandalism. We are working to restore service as soon as safely possible.

Several of the 35 temporary murals attached to construction fencing near the Federal Way Transit Center were slashed. Many of the murals feature people of color, and the vandalism is suspected to be motivated by racism.

The Sound Transit Art (STart) program enlisted local artists to create more than 100 murals. About 40 of these unique pieces of public art were installed in August, with more planned to go up in September.

Iida is a visual artist working with large scale paper cut-outs; this work is printed from an actual large-scale paper cut stencil in black and white. The objects in the net were contributed by people in the Northwest Japanese and Cambodian communities.

Valu is an artist, designer, and co-founder of the Youth Advocacy group Our Future Matters, and lives in SeaTac. He collaborated with young people from the Pacific Islander community in a group process to create his murals.

Hammonds is a Tacoma-based muralist, artist, and youth advocate based at Fab 5 Studios. Her murals feature numerous faces in a rainbow of colors, reflecting on the connections between color and emotion.

SynthMaster One iOS comes with inspiring factory presets from a world class team of sound designers: Arksun, Aiyn Zahev, BigTone Studios, Brian Transeau, Bluffmunkey, Bulent Biyikoglu, Gercek Dorman, Dejavu Sound, Fragment Audio, Kurt Ader, Mirko Ruta, Nori Ubukata, Rob Lee, Ufuk Kevser, Selcuk Ergen, The Machine, Vandalism Sound, Venus Theory, Vorpalsound and Xenos Soundworks

SynthMaster One iOS supports AudioUnits V3, allowing multiple instances to run under supporting DAW apps like GarageBand, Cubasis or Beat Maker. It also supports parameter automation and full screen when running inside GarageBand.

For each SynthMaster One instance, there are 2 oscillators with 2 sub oscillators, 2 Filters, 4 ADSR Envelopes, 3 LFOs, a powerful 16 step arpeggiator/sequencer and also 11 different effects that can be inserted on to 6 FX insert slots. The sub oscillators can be connected to the oscillators in 5 different modes which let you use it as a regular sub oscillator or do complex modulations such as ring modulation, amplitude modulation, phase modulation or frequency modulation.

Each of the 2 oscillators in SynthMaster One have stereo output, and can have up to 16 voices "unison". Using the "voices", "voices mix", "detune curve", "detune spread", "pan stread", "tone spread" and "phase spread" parameters, each oscillator can generate a rich "supersaw" type sound.

SynthMaster One implements true wavetable synthesis which opens up new possibilities for sound design. SynthMaster One comes with a rich wavetable library and you can extend that by dragging and dropping wavetable files using the Files App (requires iOS 11+)

The arpeggiator in SynthMaster One features classic arpeggiator modes such as Up, Down, UpDown, DownUp, UpDown2, DownUp2, AsPlayed as well as Sequence, Chord and Arpeggiate modes. Each of the 16 steps of the arpeggiator has its own Velocity, Note Number, Note Length, Slide and Hold parameters.

All of the 4 filter categories in SynthMaster One are developed using the zero delay feedback filter technology. With advanced filter parameters like input gain, drive, acid, filter nonlinearities and up to 4 times oversampling you can get that "analog" sound from the filters!

Stations are equipped with a 2 1/2" (64mm) diameter loudspeaker to deliver clear voice and signal transmission while the phenolic resin impregnated, moisture-proof cloth cone provides durable performance. The VPCS Series includes two die-cast baffles to protect the loudspeaker assembly from vandalism.

The Series is available with a 25V transformer providing 1/4, 1/2, 1, and 2 watt taps or as a 45Ω configuration. Model numbers indicating "PB" include a vandal-proof push-button call switch for installation where call origination is a required function or a desired adjunct to security. "PB" models feature a heavy-duty, momentary action push-button with a 3A at 120VAC/1.5A at 250VAC contact rating, mounted to an 11-gauge stainless steel face plate.

The face plate mounts standard 2 &/or 3-gang E.O. boxes with any counter sunk 6-32" mounting screw. Lead wires are 5" (127mm). Switch is single pole, single throw, normally open. Pushbutton assembly is constructed of nickel plated brass and sealed against moisture with a classification of IP65. VPB-1A is a vandal-resistant pushswitch intercom accessory mounted to a single gang size stainless steel plate. Utilize assembly in conjunction with VPCS 2- and 3-gang stations or as a stand alone signaling device when a separate or remotely located call origination button is desired.

The attacks come as federal officials are warning that the U.S. power grid needs better security to prevent domestic terrorism and after a large outage in North Carolina earlier this month that took days to repair.

Meanwhile, just before noon, Puget Sound Energy reported vandalism that had happened at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday caused a power outage at one of its substations. The nearly 7,700 customers who lost power had it restored by 5 a.m., Puget Sound spokesperson Andrew Padula said. The company is investigating, along with authorities, and declined to comment further, Padula said.

Oregon Public Broadcasting and KUOW-FM in Seattle reported earlier this month that Portland General Electric, the Bonneville Power Administration, Cowlitz County Public Utility District and Puget Sound Energy confirmed six separate attacks on electrical substations in Washington and Oregon in the previous weeks.

Seeing parallels with the persecution of Japanese Americans during WWII, the Densho community takes its commitment to stand with our Muslim neighbors seriously and messages of support for MAPS have come from near and far.

I have seen recent news of the vandalism to your stone sign and I was shocked and saddened. The recent dedication, with Densho, of the new sign was inspiring. However, that feeling of sadness returned once I saw that the sign had been re-vandalized. Please know that, as a Japanese American whose family was incarcerated during WWII, I understand your fear and uncertainty. Please know that you are not alone and this act does not represent the majority of Americans.

Dear MAPS, please know that this yonsei US citizen condemns these hateful acts. Further, while I am not in your area, I am constantly on the lookout for opportunities to help protect your rights as fellow citizens. -Robin Blank

To our Muslim brothers and sisters, please know how proud we Japanese Americans are to be part of a community we share with you, and how determined we are to always stand by your side. -Vince Schleitwiler

I admire the Muslim Assoc. of Puget Sound and Mr. Ikeda for creating and maintaining this project. If there is any way for people to support long distance, please let us all know. Thank you. -Sayo Fujioka

OXON HILL, Md. (ABC7) - In Prince George's County, the firefighters union president and the fire chief are sounding an alarm because someone has been damaging the safety equipment belonging to the career medics and firefighters at the Glassmanor-Oxon Hill Firehouse.

"Our turnout gear is our lifeline," firefighters union president Andrew Pantelis says. "The frequency and severity of the escalation is very alarming to our members and we feel that it's an unsafe working condition for our members to continue operating in that environment."

The incidents started last November when a crew returned from a call and found what they believed to be a marijuana haze in the firehouse. After that, firefighters' cars were stolen and there have been several instances where firefighters' protective gear was intentionally burned.

A full investigation by both police and the fire department is now underway. And while there is a long history in the department of rivalry, even fights between volunteers and paid career firefighters, no suspect has yet been named.
