Hi Everyone,
Please be sure to read this entire email.
I was hoping that this email would not have to be sent – but occurrences this week have required it. We have been missing way too many people from rehearsals this week. The majority (not all) of the absences were not noted on conflict calendars or put in the online form.
We have an AWESOME opportunity to be able to put on a quality, professional show. We are over 30 days out from the show, and as of this afternoon will have the entire show blocked. This means, we have the next month to run, clean up, memorize, and GET BETTER at the scenes, songs and choreography. This is an excellent place to be in for a high school production – and gives us the time and rehearsals left that we need to make this production the quality show we all want it to be!
However … we cannot do this without everyone’s dedication and work!
It is crunch time; there is no doubt about it. We really need everyone’s attendance, cooperation and dedication to the production. Missing rehearsals, choreography, etc. not only puts yourself behind in the rehearsal process, but it puts the entire scene’s characters/dialogue/choreography behind. This week has been a lot of filling in for people, wondering where people are, etc. We can’t improve under these circumstances.
The schedule for this week is as follows:
Wednesday (Today): Act 2; Scenes 7-12 Blocking (this means if you are on stage, have dialogue, have a song/choreography, etc. you need to be there)
Thursday: ALL GIRLS CHOREOGRAPHY (3:30PM – 4:00PM); ALL BOYS CHOREOGRAPHY (4:00PM – 5:30PM)
Friday: ALL CAST CHOREOGRAPHY (3:30PM – 5:30PM)
Please consider this email and let’s make this show one to remember!
See you tonight.
Thanks,
Mr. Skerpon
