New, developing, and established artists enhance their careers by showcasing to the global music industry at the SXSW Music Festival each year. Showcases are curated by South By Southwest in collaboration with record labels, booking agencies, management and PR firms, international export offices, music festivals, media outlets, industry trade organizations, lifestyle brands, and more.

A special in-person workshop with international artist Ayla Nereo, who will share her vast array of tools and practices for expanding the creative channel, sparking inspiration, getting into receptivity, and co-creating songs in the moment. Includes a very special demo from Ayla, sharing a unique behind the scenes look into her process of songwriting in real time, and collaboratively creating a song together live.

Learn the basics of what it takes to perform on a professional stage with the assistance of technical staff. This workshop is a practical introduction to prepare for the New Songs Stage Time performance on Sunday evening.

Brian Rivers is an award-winning performer, educator, author, and founding member of Mumbo Gumbo. Brian has performed at numerous music festivals throughout the United States including three separate appearances at the Kerrville Folk Festival! As a clinician, Brian is known for providing participants with easy-to-implement tips and tricks.

I got a nylon string guitar when I was thirteen. About a year later my grandmother, who was an organist, invited me to do a song at her church in Oakland. It held about 500 people and the service was broadcast on the radio. It never occurred to me to learn a song, so I wrote one.

I generally write songs that will work for my gigs. Sometimes I will write a song for other purposes or just because I want to. I figure a song works if the audience is singing along by the end.

Guitar-tickling wordsmith Bill Edwards has been making music for 50 years. Working with WAY OLD WEST ( was Way Out West), Mumbo Gumbo, South Loomis Quickstep and the trio Webster Walton Edwards, among many other treasured musical friends who just might be among your favorites.

The Celtic World Showcase at this year's festival will highlight artists who continue centuries-old musical traditions while shaping modern global music and feature performers from Scotland, Canada, Japan, Ireland, France, and Italy.

Boston Calling Music Festival is a 3 day, 4 stage, outdoor festival featuring the biggest and best acts in live music. With visual arts and a 100 foot ferris wheel - there's so much to explore and see at Boston Calling.

The Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts at Bard College is located in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York, situated on the east bank of the Hudson River in the beautiful Hudson Valley, about 90 miles north of New York City and 220 miles southwest of Boston.

By providing an illuminating context, the festival encourages listeners and musicians alike to rediscover the powerful, expressive nature of familiar compositions and to become acquainted with less well-known works.

Proceeds from our festival go to support the Ben Richey Boys Ranch & Family Program, a nonprofit child care facility that serves the Big Country area. Your involvement as a Sponsor or Ticket holder goes to help this tremendous organization! Since 2013, more than $670,000 in funding has been granted to the Ben Richey Boys Ranch & Family Program through this festival. Backporch Productions, LLC has donated more than $3.5 million to Abilene charities since 2011.

For six decades, Eastern Music Festival (EMF), a nationally recognized classical music festival and summer educational program, has been produced on the campus of Guilford College, UNCG, and other venues in Greensboro, North Carolina. EMF is distinguished by its accomplished faculty, exhilarating repertoire, and world-renowned visiting artists under the artistic direction of Gerard Schwarz. A powerful teaching institution, EMF provides encouragement and guidance to over 265 young musicians from across the country and around the globe as they take pivotal steps towards careers in the performing arts.
