An Evening of Light Classical Music
Arun Silva (Organist and Bass) will be joined by Sue Lovell (Soprano) both musicians at the University of Kent.
This enjoyable recital programme will cover classical repertoire by Purcell, Bach, Vaughn Williams, Dowland, Shearing, vocal duets and a variety of organ repertoire including an arrangement of the theme from the Game of Thrones on organ. This is an free recital - all are welcome.
Arun Silva (Bass & Organist) is a first year undergraduate studying Music at the University of Kent. He is a classically trained organist and singer performing with the University of Kent choir (Medway) and externally. He studied piano, organ and singing on the Music Scholar's programme at Charterhouse school. He was a member of the Chamber, Chapel and Concert Choirs at Charterhouse where he took part in several concerts at school and externally.
Sue Lovell (Soprano) is currently studying for a BMus (Hons) in Popular Music at the University of Kent. During her musical career, she has performed many genres of music, including light classical, musical theatre and many genres of popular music.
The recital supports the Eikon Charity. Eikon supports the wellbeing, resilience and aspirations of young people in Surrey Heath and across Surrey. Eikon’s work ranges from open youth clubs, to intensive support for some of the most vulnerable young people in our schools, families, and local neighbourhoods. Eikon is one of Surrey’s leading charities in young people’s mental health.
