Dear all,
Attached is the latest edition of the programme for tomorrow's Jubilee Street Party!
A couple more prizes for the raffle have been donated this morning, so I have added them in. The programme was printed yesterday, so it is slightly different, but nearly the same.
Many thanks to all the individuals and businesses who have donated prizes. Raffle tickets will be for sale all day at the BBA stall outside Howlands, Bex's Balloon Stall, Lisa May Stall and from several volunteers who will be walking around. The prize list is fantastic (see programme) Tickets are £1 each. The draw will take place at approx 5.30/ 5.45pm - there are over 30 prizes, so it may take a little time. That will be the conclusion of the Street Party, so hopefully people will stay to sing The National Anthem before they leave.
Order of Events could of course change completely if it gets very wet, so listen to the public announcements.
We will have the 'May pole' standing but unlikely to have any dancers. If the ground is wet it will be too slippy on the tarmac, for the twisting and turning. The Lisa May Foundation are sponsoring the 'Maypole', so instead, please make sure you pay a visit to their Tombola stall up near The Coffee Shop (Formerly SHOTZ)
I went to WVYP (Windle Valley Youth Project) last Thursday evening at the back of The Three Mariners to teach the young people face painting! They were very good, once they got the hang of painting on moving objects! They will be there tomorrow giving me a hand on the face painting table - thank you to them.
I have just been on BBC Radio Surrey/Sussex to say a few words about the event - no idea what I said but hopefully a few more people may come! Live radio is not my forte!
We are hoping that the weather will be dry tomorrow - I wonder if rain dances in reverse will work!!
Kind regards
Tina Carney
