Hey Fellas

I listened to the last episode where Alex talked about the new upgrade

for Raw images from Adobe. Like Ewen I tend to shoot most images in

JPEG and think that sometimes RAW is a little bit of elitism and

occasionally just plain 'BS' as a benefit. Can Alex convince me that I

should shoot in RAW more often or all the time?

Thanks for the show. Been a long time listener and learnt such a lot

from you all.

I have taken some images of models recently and am very new to studio

photography. I noticed tho that I like to shoot against dark

backgrounds more than light ones and also as a result my images

against White backgrounds are poor in comparison to my result against

darker one. Why?

Alex. Single or twin set builders work lights including stands and

bulbs. Much cheaper alternative to expensive studio lights. Remember

to set your white balance.

PHOTOSHOP TIPS

Ewen’s Tip.

RULER TOOL - Behind the eyedropper tool - Select it...Drag it along

the surface that you want to be level or vertical and the go to IMAGE

ROTATE IMAGE > ARBITRARY and the correction angle is automatically

there and when you click of, your image will be straight

Alex’s Tip.

Don’t forget you can open many different file types from Adobe bridge

into the raw file converter. This enables you to take advantage of the

many correction tools that the camera raw system includes.

What can we say about Mac this week. We are all over to Will’s for a curry with a nice prawn cocktail starter. After that we can all go ghost hunting, hopefully Andrew won’t bring a full size replica of a weeping angel with him. History is made as Ewen gets a live roaming report from a queue for a new smart, shiny IPad 2. Skype did it’s best I’m sure.
