Venue: Hotel Pearl Regency, Thrissur, Kerala 

10 AM: Registration & welcome drinks

10.30 AM: Introduction of the chief guest Mr.Herbert Ascherman Jr. by Dr.Unni Pulikkal

10.40 AM: Herb talks on:

• Why do we make portraits?
• Historical evolution of photographic portraiture
• Aesthetics of Portraiture
• Composition, Posing, Lighting
• Available light portraiture & studio-light portraiture
• Capturing expressions and moods
• Indoor and outdoor settings
• Environmental portraiture

 

He will talk from the projected images of his work and working with models.

Participants will get an opportunity to make pictures under his guidance.

1.00 PM: Buffet Lunch

1.30 PM: Projection of portraits by Indian and Western masters. Discussion and interactive session follows

2.30 PM: Herb Ascherman continues with his topics, interacting with the participants.

5.00PM: Conclusion and vote of thanks: Nandakumar Moodadi
