Thank you all so much for making DM 2012 a great success. I really enjoyed working with each one of you and hoping to join the DM 2013 team.

I have volunteered to lead publicity for Dandia this year if the event happens. My dear DM publicity team, I would really appreciate your support and guidance in helping me lead publicity for this event. Let's take a break for a couple of months before we actively start planning for the event. But before we break I would like to line up volunteers for the publicity team.
 
We cannot have Dandia if we don't have volunteers assigned for the roles Ansy has listed below.
 
Hitesh, I will be there along side you to help make Dandia another Vibha Bay Area's talk of the town event.

My vote is for 10/20 because I know I will be out in Toronto on 10/27

Dear Volunteers, 

Vibha Dandia 2012! To be or not to be, that is the question?

Hitesh Iyer has agreed to lead the Dandia team. He now needs a team to conduct the event. Target dates are Oct 20 and 27 at Centerville Junior High. We have a decision to make. If we dont have sufficient volunteers stepping up, Dandia has to be cancelled.

We are looking for functional leads in the following roles:

1. Publicity : This team is responsible for publicizing the event in various ways which includes online( FB postings/ FB events/, Twitter, emails, event websites etc) , physical(posters, fliers) and media(radio, TV) , website design.

2. Registration & Ticketing: The team will work on selling Dandia tickets via volunteers and websites like Sulekha/DesiClub . They will also keep tab on tickets sold and determine early bird promotions and other deals if any.

3. Logistics : From everything involved on the Day of the event such as the layout of the venue, lights, music, rentals, custodians, security, manpower to planning on all of the prior mentioned. 

4. Food : The food lead will talk to vendors and determine who will serve on DOE. 

5. Sponsorship: Find sponsors for the event. 

6. Other teams include Decor( for venue on DOE),  Sticks(procure and sell on DOE) .
