I would say that we probably want to use Gruppa as the Master DB. This allows multiple people/groups to do what they need with the data (continue adding users, maintain plot records, etc.) all in one place, otherwise data access could actually hold up a group from doing what they need to do. It also alleviates problems with software versions when passing the data around. Because Gruppa is web based data entry could be done from anywhere including the garden with a wireless tablet device, or any grade of hardware or OS.

When it comes to mailings and things like that, you would export the Gruppa DB in csv format. Then import it into whatever application you are going to do the mailing with. The thing is to remember you have a snapshot of the db at the time you exported the csv file. In this way we can use any application that does task based things like emails at the point of doing the task.

That is my suggestion.

Great suggestion.

The database has been created (and able to have additional fields included as we deem necessary).  For those requesting access to Grubba.net, please email me (citizen...@gmail.com) and I will created a specific user profile to write/read.  Carolyn and Jannette have already received their log-ins and instructions.

Presently there are 73 entries (schools and *some* groups*).

The 22 Field Names:
Contact name Representing Select One Affilate Group Name Address City State ZipCode Telephone Primary Telephone Alternate Email Committee Assigned to Status of Internal Activity Opened By Priority Due date Contact history
Date Added to Contact List Internal comments Referral Source
