Whatam I supposed to do with this error? I installed the latest drivers. I'm not going to download a DLL from a random site and put it in my Windows folder... Did AMD forget to include this file in their driver installer?

Once it finishes uninstalling the current AMD Driver in Safe mode and boots back to Windows Desktop, still with the Internet disconnected, delete the AMD Installation folder C:\AMD if it was created before.

Now install the full AMD Drive package you downloaded manually from AMD Download page. Not the express package. Run the package and if it installs correctly again delete C:\AMD folder and reconnect the internet.

I just installed the latest ATI driver for my Radeon R9 Fury card and I got the same error about a missing OpenCL.dll file. This is after a clean install off windows 10 and installation of "Non-WHQL-Radeon-Software-Adrenalin-2020-20.11.3-Win10-64Bit-Nov30" driver. After a reboot I get many dialog boxes complaining about a missing OpenCL.dll file.

I downloaded and installed two opencl.dll files separately, x64 and x86. And after that I got an error 0xc00007b after every Windows startup.

Then I tried to install the video driver again from the same packager - it didn't help.

I tried removing the drivers using amdcleanuputility and installing them again - it didn't help.

Then I tried to remove the drivers through amdcleanuputility and install them again from the same package, but which I downloaded a month ago and the error was fixed!

It turns out that the driver pack is either downloaded damaged or already damaged on the AMD server.

I have a computer that has an Intel CPU and an NVIDIA GPU, running Windows 7. I have a software module that is written in NVIDIA CUDA, and another module written in OpenCL. I would like to run the OpenCL module on the CPU, using the Intel implementation of OpenCL, and at the same time, use the CUDA module.

I've tried modifying the Windows Registry, and the PATH variable, with no look. When I query the dependencies with "Dependecy Walker" I see that the program depends on a dll located in c:\windows\system32, which is not the folder where the Intel dll is. I've tried deleting this dll but I still see this dependency, and I'm only able to access the GPU.

Since you don't want to use the GPU with OpenCL you can simply copy the Intel OpenCL.dll into your working directory. The working directory is visited first when .dlls are loaded. So, even if the Nvidia OpenCL.dll is installed into your windows/system32 directory the Intel library is found first and therefore loaded. There may be better solutions maybe load the dll on demand as discussed here Dynamically load a function from a DLL but as a fast solution it should work.

I have just updated from Photoshop Elements 14 to Photoshop Elements 2022. Every time I start the programme a message appears saying that the file "OpenCL.dl" is not compatible with Windows or contains an error (see enclosure). I have not found a solution for this problem. What does it mean and is there a remedy?

Can you please share the system details and OS details of your machine. Also the GPU you are using and its driver version. Meanwhile sharing one link please follow the steps mentioned in this and please let me know if this fixes the issue. -us/windows/forum/all/missing-opencldll-on-windows10/b9008a20-81c0-4...

Had a similar issue with Vegas Pro 17 on my Dell Alienware m17. Originally, I'd just revert to an old OpenCL.dll file, but every time I'd get updates, a newer OpenCL.dll would install resulting with the same issue. Found out both the built-in and the add-on graphics devices were enabled. Disabeling the built-in graphic solved the problem.

If you have a monitor try plugging it in to the HMI port to test, if you do not have a monitor to test, get a 'Headless ghost' monitor emulator (shown below and they are not expensive) and plug this in to the HDMI socket to see if this fixes the start up problem.

In addition to that I can say that some of us have found that we update the Intel iGPU driver to the latest from the Intel driver update page but then later find that the Windows update process has installed a much earlier driver. From this I found there is a simple way to stop windows updating specific drivers (google it).

The Alienware site also lists a very early Intel iGPU driver so it pays to check from time to time in device manager what driver is actually installed, bearing in mind my comments in the other thread about OEM versus Generic drivers.

Further, I think the Intel Graphics Driver Update utility can detect an OEM (custom) driver at which point it halts the process and prompts you to contact the PC manufacturer, but a straight download from Intel's Generic site offers no warning.
