Hey y'all,
If you can't tell i am in full-on Spring cleaning mode and just found a whole box of the easy travel packages of the Enfamil Gentlease formula. Any takers? There are also 3 infant packets I'll throw in for an added bonus :)

Mr. Riggin can't drink this kind any more because of his dairy sensitivity but it is nice and easy on the tummy and SO convenient.

Let me know and I can bring it to dinner tomorrow.

What's your current feeding schedule with the kiddos? How much solids at each meal? How many meals? How many bottles/oz?

So glad you asked this because not sure if I need to up the food I'm giving Emilia.  Emilia still has milk 5 times a day (feed w/me am, 2 bottles at daycare 4 & 5 oz, then feeds w/me after I pick her up and again before bed), and eats solids 2-3 times per day (1.5-2 oz cereal in the am w/2 oz of milk, 2 oz fruit or veggie for lunch and then a snack in the afternoon - here the amount varies).  I'm finally introducing meat this week.  It stinks, but just haven't had the time until now.  Ugh work.  Grading 10th grade research papers in the worst.

Hey crew!
Riggin has 6-10 ounces before daycare when he wakes up in the morning. Around 830-900 he has oatmeal with 2oz of fruit and milk

He has lunch around 1130 which is usually 2 or more oz of meat with veggies

He has snack around 3 which is usually 2 oz or so of a veggie combo

He has dinner at 6 which can be 2-3 oz of meat combo or veggie.

In addition to that he'll eat between 14-20 oz of formula at daycare and then ill give him a nightcap of 4 or 5 oz after his bath.

Hope this helps!!

charlotte's feeding schedule is...

Wakes up at 6 and nurses, then goes back to sleep until about 8 (Though this might be going away and she sleeps through till 8. fingers crossed!)

Solid food at 8. Anywhere between 4 and 8 oz of pureed fruit mixed with about 1/3 to 1/4 cup of oatmeal and a little blob of plain yogurt
(Though this morning she ate wheat bread with almond butter and sugar free raspberry jam from trader joes and LOVED it)

Nurse around 10ish

Solid food at lunchtime—12:30ish Usually some combo of diced grilled chicken, sweet potatoes, carrots, pasta, spinach. Lumpy food. Again, anywhere between 4-8 (sometimes more) ounces

Nurse around 2 or 2:30

Nurse or bottle at 5ish (bottle is anywhere between 4 and 7 ounces)

Solid food at 6 or so (Similar menu and amounts as lunch)

Nurse before bed at about 7:45

I'm not super regimented on the schedule, but I'm trying to stick to it more so I can start with babysitting/day care. Hope this helps!

Hi all-
Ben is the youngest (I think) so we are not eating as many solids but:
-6 am nurse
-9 am bottle
-12 pm bottle
-2 oz of solids- veggies
-3 pm bottle
-4 pm more solids
-5:30/6 pm nurse

I will soon add a third meal. He seems to be done after 2 oz of solids so I haven't pushed it.

I also have some formula that I am not likely to use. One is Earth's Best (very large container) The other two are Enfamil sample cans that I got in the mail.

Let me know if you want them.

Wow, I need to take a lot away from these schedules. Dara has been completely off the map in regards to a routine for the past two weeks. She went from eating everything, to nothing and only nursing, to nursing and  puffed kamut/rice cakes.

Culprits are 1. She is getting a top molar (before front teeth!) whites are showing but it has yet to break through. 2. She had about of a cold (don't know if it was related to teething or not. Primarily runny nose). 3. She hasn't pooped since Saturday. We have been playing the 'where's the poop?!?' game where I am the question each time we change a diaper. She finds it quite humorous. I know that for EB babies poops every 4-7 days are not unusual. Since she has been back to mostly being on the boob I shouldn't be worried--right?

We've had that issue with the poop. Sounds ridiculous but is she jumping in the jumparoo? My dietician told me that physical activity helps to have regular bowels. Is she just doing BM the last few days?

We do have a jumper, maybe I need to have her use it a bit more than she does. She has been doing mostly BM for the past several days with maybe 3 noodles or 6 puffs at a sitting.

I have tried fresh and dried fruit with her, scrambled eggs, mashed chicken, lentils, yogurt, the self feeders, etc. She rejects everything but the carbs. She will gnaw on the end of a loaf of bread or a pizza crust. She will occasionally eat a piece of whatever I am eating--but is uninterested if I give it to her in her highchair. It has to come off my plate with her in my lap---this is a behavior I don't want to reinforce so unless we are out and about I am not going to replicate it at home.

I know that food is really just for fun/practice until they are 1. Hopefully when the molar breaks through she will be more willing to try more things or may be more open to having a spoon in her mouth.

also OT--looks like the roads are in good shape. Was out and about this morning. Let's touch base around 4:30/5 to see if they are still alright and if we are a go for tonight. Hoping this storm is not so bad!

I too need to be more adventurous with the food but we found out Ben has a peanut allergy and we are going to see the allergist at the end of the month so I'm waiting for that for yogurt, soy, etc just in case.

Also, how do you find time to try the new foods and give the appropriate trial period?? I am so overwhelmed with work and baby and pumping (this is likely a second email). I try to do new stuff in the afternoon and weekend but I haven't given him anything new in a long time because I have zero time.

It took us 3 hours to get to daycare/work. I am going to bow out of tonight, sorry to miss you guys, have to go to pedi appt.

We had poop issues too and pears saved us! I roast them or steam them and then puree them and mix them with oatmeal and she loves it. We did prunes too from a jar, but I like the pears better and so does she.

Hey guys,

Billy wakes at 6:45ish and has a 6oz bottle 30 min after(prilosec needs to kick in).  Breakfast (3oz fruit w/oatmeal) at 8ish.  Then nap from 8:30ish-10:30, 6oz bottle at 11ish, lunch (4oz squeeze mix of fruit and veggies w/multi grain cereal) at 1.  Nap from 1:30ish-3:30 or 4.  6oz bottle at 4:30ish.  Dinner (5oz veggies w/ multigrain cereal) at 6ish.  He then takes another 4oz or so of formula at bedtime (7-730).

I included naps because I have noticed his eating pattern evolving with his nap pattern.  He is sort of a one trick pony when it comes to food and that is probably my fault.  I give him apples or pears in the morning and sweet potatoes or root veggie stew (carrots, turnips & white potato) in the evening.  I've been giving him the squeeze pouches at lunch to broaden his taste buds and he responds well to anything I give him.  I see it as a daunting task to try and make something fresh everyday.  I might just ditch this whole making my own food business so he doesn't eat the same thing all of the time.

I won't be able to make it tonight.  I have to stay home to get a shot at a very specific time....I am due in the OR for IVF Saturday morning....yikes.
Have fun tonight and I hope to catch up with you guys really soon.

I totally agree that is daunting to try something fresh every day. I tend to switch off between the home-made food and the jars/puches. Often when I try a new food I use a jar so I don't have to go through the trouble of making it and then she won't eat it. When I have time on a weekend I make a TON of pears and sweet potatoes and carrots and spinach and then I puree them and freeze them in ice cube rays. It's a pain in the butt and then I run out much faster than I think I will because Charlotte chows down her food.

This morning she ate almond butter and jam on wheat bread which I'm pretty happy about because it is easy! (Maybe I said that already, I don't remember) Also she ate little bits of swiss cheese for lunch today.

I agree with the physical activity helping the poop. It is that way for us, so why wouldn't it be that way for babies? Charlotte is standing on her own and has yet to take a step, but I think it will happen soon. She is on the go all the time and when she isn't, she poops less.

Hope to see you guys tonight!
