Hey everyone,I am totally up for mom's night or anything like that. It would also be nice to try to pick a time to get together for a play date. My schedule is pretty wide open.I am thinking about signing up for movers and Groovers at Isis starting 3/28 at 12:30. Anyone else interested?Has anyone heard any feedback on this class?Christine

We've been going through something similar. Although for us it seems like it's happening in this weird pattern of every three or four night she has one or two bad nights and then she's fine again. Not sure if that's you, too. Like Eden it's been a mix of Ferber and soothing. I've only nursed her one night (last night) because she's a little sick and didn't feed that well before bed so I thought maybe she was hungry. Other than that, I haven't fed her and we've tried letting her cry and self-soothe. When that hasn't worked and she's cried and fussed off and on for an hour plus we've just picked her up and walked her to sleep. After awhile it is exhausting so everyone needs sleep. The weird part is that picking her up hasn't necessarily set us back too much in the other sleep training. I know there's a major wonder week on the horizon and I think disrupted sleep is part of the lead up. Gonna read tonight and email tomorrow, if you're interested.

I was just thinking the same thing. Not quite sure I remember. Maybe I should take it again.
Nice job Eden!

Nice job mamma! Yes, Bart and I took it when I was 7 months pregnant. Did you remember what to do? My fear is I will freak out and forget....

Yes I took the class at Isis too. I think the teacher was named Dennis. I went to Arlington just bc of the schedule. Very good class.

Eden! So scary!I am so glad she is okay! We took the infant CPR class with Isis in May and were very happy with it in case anyone needs a recommendation. Thanks for sharing your story, I have no doubt that you are pretty shaken by it. As you said, you are lucky to know exactly what to do. I am not at all surprised that your instincts kicked in--well done Mama.sending much love,Shirah

Hi ladies
I feel the need to share this with you ...
If you have not taken infant CPR yet I highly recommend it. Charlotte choked on a teething biscuit this evening, like really choked-couldn't breathe, cry, make any noise. It was terrifying but Because of the cpr class i knew exactly what to do and surprised myself by actually doing it-just the choking part. The chunk came out quickly and she is completely fine. I'm a little freaked out but she is not phased. I was told that 1 in 10 parents have to use the infant heimlich maneuver. Crazy.
So the moral of the story is- Take infant CPR if you have not already done so.
Hope you all weathered the blizzard well. Hope to see you soon.
Eden
