bacula-sd cannot be downloaded to ubuntu 22.04lts.

I want to install Storage Daemon via Bacularis, but I get the following error, I cannot find the bacula-sd package even when I search with apt cache search.

Non-zero exitcode returned by software management command. Output:sudo /usr/bin/apt -y install bacula-sd 2>&1 WARNING: apt does not have a stable CLI interface. Use with caution in scripts. Hi Meth,

Yes, it is a known problem. In Ubuntu 22.04 the Bacula packages have been excluded from the system package repositories. Fortunately Ubuntu was able to include them in the next releases. So, on Ubuntu 22.04 you can install Bacula using Bacula.org repositories or you can switch/upgrade to another Ubuntu version where Bacula came back to the system package repositories.

I solved this error thanks to your information, but when I try to download it to another computer (Ubuntu 20.04lts) I get the following error;

Non-zero exitcode returned by software management command.
Output:sudo /usr/bin/apt -y install bacula-sd 2>&1

Reading package lists...
Building dependency tree...
Reading state information...
E: Unable to locate package bacula-sd

The source.list is the same on these two computers.
What do you think is the problem?

Hi Meth,

If the sources.list on your Ubuntu 20.04 is the same as on Ubuntu 22.04 it can mean that Bacularis on Ubuntu 20.04 has been deployed with an OS profile belonging to Ubuntu 22.04. In this case to solve it you can manually change the sources.list entry to correct one, then please run 'apt update' and after everything should go well.

Another alternative solution could be re-deploying Bacularis on Ubuntu 20.04 with the OS profiles for Ubuntu 20.04.

You were right. I fixed the 22.04lts source.list with 20.04lts. I guess this was a scenario caused by my mistake. I'm trying to reinstall Bacula-sd. I'll let you know the result. Thank you for your support.

At the moment I found an official Ubuntu Jammy repository where there have been added the Bacula binary packages. It is really good news that they are available for Jammy. This repository is here:
