Title: Java Developer
Location: New Hartford, NY 
Duration: 06 Months Contract

 

Most importantly, they need to be skilled in the Java programming language, and have Java Swing and Enterprise Java experience.  
Do you enjoy taking a project through the full development life cycle? Are you comfortable managing mini-development projects on your own?

 

Our client, a high tech manufacturer in Utica, New York is seeking a talented long term Java Developer contract resource to join their small development team.
In this role the Java Developer will have full control over the software development life cycle. The successful candidate will work independently taking broad specifications and engaging directly with the end user community to refine those specifications. From there you will design, develop, and test the new code with the end users to ensure a positive outcome.
The selected candidate will have strong Enterprise Java Development experience as well as SWING. You will have worked closely with JPA and EJBs as well.  In addition, a major plus would be PL/SQL experience or at a minimum SQL development skills.

 

There are several projects slated for this contract role. The projects vary in size and complexity and diversity; multiple business areas will the recipients of your support: manufacturing, quality, sales, and alike.
Requirements of Java Developer:
Experience gathering and documenting requirements from end users.
Designing development solutions.
Develop code in Enterprise Java.
User acceptance testing.
SQL or PL/SQL experience
SWING development experience.
EJB and JPA experience.
Oracle ERP experience a plus but not required.
Excellent written and verbal  communication skills.
