Position:  Business Analyst
Location:  Indianapolis, IN 
Duration:  6 Months with possible extension

Job Description
We are looking for a seasoned Agile product owner with a firm understanding of delivery within Agile Scrum framework to provide vision for Dept. of Revenue systems. Resource will work closely with a cross-functional team to implement public facing applications and services. Passionate about technology, user-focused, and entrepreneurial, you will make an immediate impact.

 

Programming Language/Development Tools Required:
Java/Related Toolset – Advanced skill level/5+ Yrs. Exp.
Oracle//Related Toolset – Advanced skill level/5+ Yrs. Exp.

 

Responsibilities:
Product Strategy and Roadmap Development 
Partner with key business partners and coordinating with cross-functional teams to define, develop and deliver products on schedule 
Breakdown projects into epics/themes/pbi’s
Define user stories and acceptance criteria
Work with the SM and the Scrum team on a daily basis for sprint related standard activities 
Organize pre-grooming and grooming sessions with team as needed
Participate in standard scrum events – planning, daily, demo, retro etc
Guide the release of software from concept through product launch 
Create vision to guide organization and products 
Key decision-maker in cross-functional product and feature teams, both formal and informal, to ensure that proposed solutions meet customer needs 
Own and drive process, while including and learning from key owners through organization 
Develop and/or maintain a multi-year product roadmap based on customer requirements and industry trends 
Communicate strategy and champion product internally and externally 
Provide updates to executives on the status of all product matters

 

Qualifications: 
Strong experience  with Agile Scrum framework based software delivery
Excellent Agile project delivery skills, with at least 3 years’ experience participating in winning scrum projects 
Excellent communication skills 
Experience leading local, remote and/or offshore Scrum development teams 
Strong team building skills and personnel development talents 
Ability to understand technical concepts and evaluate tradeoffs   
Ability to quickly assess key risk areas/opportunities and address appropriately 
Ability to brainstorm and turn to others for guidance/feedback   
Ability to determine guiding philosophy, evangelize this philosophy and focus in on critical questions quickly
