Herein, we describe the use of a novel multiplug flow control technique for the curative transarterial embolisation of cerebrovascular malformations using liquid embolic agents (LEAs). The idea behind the use of this technique is to substantially control or arrest flow during LEA injection, with multiple plugs simultaneously formed from microcatheters that are placed within all or multiple feeders, so that the penetration of LEAs is facilitated, with flow control decreasing the washout of a malformation. This technique enables the complete occlusion of a vascular malformation in a shorter injection time than that in other methods because penetration is achieved faster. Details of this technique have been described in the treatment of two cases: one case of unruptured temporal arteriovenous malformation and in the other with a falcotentorial dural arteriovenous fistula, in which the vascular malformations were successfully occluded with transarterial embolisation.

Just got on Symphony of the Seas and the multiplug adapter for confiscated. Was not a power strip but that said "anything with multiple plugs is a safety issues" and said they had confiscated a ton of them

We are on SOS for TA in March. Have used same single multi plugs before on RCI ships with no issues. Hopefully Symphony does not confiscate ours as would be dead with only 2 plugs plus my EU power adaptors.

The carry on got through no issue but when we got the checked bag we got the note about it being confiscated... I went to ask why when the other one made it through they then had security escort me back to my room to confiscate the one that had gotten through

These adapters have been confiscated by security for years, but it's been a major YMMV situation. Unless you've got a need for Type B electrical plugs, and if you're just needing the adapter for plugging in multiple USB chargers, bring a cordless USB multiport adapter instead. No risk of security confiscation and they take up less room in the luggage.

Technically true, but there's generally no way to tell from looking at a device whether it has a surge protector or not. Therefore, if you bring something that has more than one electrical outlet, it MAY get confiscated. There's also no appeals process so if it looks like it could have a surge protector, it's best not to bring it.

Currently on an Adventure of the Seas cruise to Costa Maya and Cozumel. I had a multi-outlet adapter (no surge protector) confiscated along with an a passive adapter for Euro-to-US-style plug. I tried to argue that these devices aren't on the proscribed list, but to no avail. The cruise blogs need to get more up-to-date information. BTW, A four-port USB with cord passed muster.

From what I've been reading in mutliple online places, it seems that the ports are the ones that are cracking down on these. Unfortunately, I don't think there's an easy way to differentiate a "power strip" from a "surge protector" so it might just be easier on the port agents to just err on the side of caution and just confiscate anything remotely resembling a surge protector.

I seem to recall an online post in which a passenger was told by a port agent that even if the CEO of the cruise line told him not to confiscate the item, he's still going to because he wouldn't be doing his job if he didn't (and something along the lines of "I don't work for the cruise line").

After looking at the picture, I saw that a very popular item was also confiscated. Sure enough, I went to the Amazon page which has it, and it had a picture of it confiscated and others had no issues. I even have a bunch of these and they work great and never had issues as well. Sigh... cause its "multi-plug" now you can't bring it now?

The first 2 items in your list above will get confiscated 9 times out of 10, and it varies greatly from port to port, and even among agents at the same port. Any device that converts 1 X 120V AC outlet into more than 1 will most likely get confiscated. Regardless of what the CS person told you.

The people working at the pier don't work for RCL so it doesn't matter what RCL says on the phone. After boarding, you MIGHT have a small chance of getting it returned by complaining to guest services but I wouldn't count on that. The best advice anyone can give is never bring something with electrical outlets. Multiple USB ports are fine.

I'm intending to change the wires on my sensor loom at some point in the near future so cut one out from the main engine loom of a G Reg CTi in my local scrappy to take measurements.
To make things easier for myself I made a diagram as searching for info on the multiplug is a nightmare, but I spent a while searching anyway and tried to track the alternative wiring setups that Peugeot used.
After this I've ended up with three diagrams that about sum up the variation in the multiplugs:

G-Reg CTi

Dreamweaver

Sonofsam

Now can someone check that these are right first of all? I didn't take the 6pin plug off the CTi so I'm not certain it's right.
Also I tried to work out Dreamweavers and Sonofsams wiring layouts, so if I've got them wrong then please tell me and I'll fix the diagrams.

From what I've read pins 1 to 8 of the 9 pin plug are always the same which makes my life easier, am I right in assuming this?
I was thinking of making a new separate loom for the sensors (pins 1 to 8 plus the starter solenoid wire) with no engine bay multiplug, just straight through wires from the 9 pin to the components. If there is any call for it I'd make them to sell once I've got the hang of crimping, but by the looks of it they'd never be plug n play. I also have to work out where in the bulkhead I can feed the new loom through
Also is there any call for making an article to make up for the difficulty in searching for information on the multiplugs or am I the only one to have problems?

Sorry if this post is a bit rambling

edit: this is the latest version of the diagram, so you don't have to go through all the topic pages:

The handbooks for my old cars always contained wiring diagrams with colour coding. Peugeot colour the wires but then print hardly visible numbers on them, & the wiring diagrams show numbers only. Doh! Never ceases to amaze me how many stupid things go on in the automotive world afterr 120 odd years of development.

The six pin and nine pin are both under the steering column(ish) on the inside of the car. Unfortunately because of the differences in wiring I'll have to go back to the scrappy at some point and check the original wiring to be sure, but thanks anyway

I'm not sure how many wires change numbers at the multiplugs I'm fairly certain wire 2a changes to wire 2 at the nine pin, plus the oil pressure guage wire changes colour at the 7 pin suggesting it also changes number but unfortunately I couldn't make out any numbers after the 7 pin connector

I'm fairly certain it's 25a, I checked the wire and even put up a post about it to check. It's a thin yellow wire that goes up into the dash. That suggests I forgot to add 112 to the 6 pin of the CTi.

Cheers for that, but I was looking at spending 30 at most on my loom. This would include wire (probably all black to keep costs down but I would like coloured), male connectors from Peugeot (10ish for 10 and I'd need 7), cheapo standard connectors to attach the wire at the other end, insulating tape (1 from a pound shop ), those cable tidy things (don't know how much these cost) and a grommet for where it goes through the bulkhead, providing I can actually find somewhere to route it

Also, I don't know about anyone elses cars but apart from the sensor loom all of my wires are still in good condition, but then my 7 pin brown multiplug wasn't green I could still unclip my 7 pin multiplug quite easily, whereas with the CTi multiplug I ended up breaking most of the connectors when pulling it apart because they were that badly corroded. The wires themselves were quite black (corroded copper) around the connections on mine though .

I don't know if it has anything to do with it but my car still had the blanking plate behing the valance grill when I got it which would have kept a lot of the water etc away from the lower part of the engine
