CBV + 2 macs, one wireless/one wired, 2 TM volumes?

Hi Jon. Reading through documentation and trying to figure out if
BMFU/CBV will work for me. Sorry if it's off-topic.

Mac Mini serves as a media center and is always on, and would be wired
to a Drobo. Macbook Pro would be wireless. Can I use CBV to create
sparsebundles for each computer and point TM to them? Would the Mac
Mini have to have Leopard server running to do this, or could I just
file sharing?

Do I have to create partitions on the Drobo for each TM volume, or
will CBV specify the max volume size during setup?
