HiI need to be able to find and remove all the drivers related to the Vive in order to fix an issue, can someone please tell me how and where to do this? Between Windows liking to hide everything all the time and some of the random names the drivers have, it's a bit tough!

Also, ahead of time; No, this has nothing to do with Steam, or SteamVR, and doing anything to either of these apps will have no effect other than forcing me to redownload lots of stuff totally unrelated to the issue.

The next time your UPS package arrives, VR likely played a part. The global leader in package delivery is now harnessing the power of Vive and virtual reality to train UPS package delivery drivers to ensure and practice safety on the road.

Starting in September, UPS will start rolling out Vive in all nine of the UPS Integrad training facilities around the U.S., providing drivers with a realistic training environment using the most immersive VR available. Developed by UPS IT experts, this new training tool recreates the experience of driving a real delivery vehicle. Trainees learn to recognize and identify road hazards that could arise in their everyday delivery routes.

Many companies, like UPS, are turning to Vive for training their employees because of the high success rates compared to other methods. VR lessons can have higher retention rates and the immersive experiences can simulate real-world scenarios from the safety of a training facility.

Honestly mate, unless you want to be pulling your hair out month after month waiting for AMD to release a fix for VR, just go back to NVIDIA. I haven't been able to play VR since I got my 7900 GPU about a month and a half ago, and that's all I played. I'm just waiting for pay day so I can sell my 7900 and buy a 4080. The other side have absolutely no issues in the VR department. I should have waited for reviews of the AMD product before jumping the gun and buying one on day one. Never again, straight to NVIDIA for me in the future.

I think that allot of people have VR problems due to a bad drivers for the 7900xtx since release day about 1 month ago.

Personaly i cannot even turn on my vr since the amd graphic card driver crash when i activate the software required to turn on my vr ( pimax 8kx )

Try to bypass the linkbox if you can and plug the cables directly into the rear of your graphics card. Maybe move the cables around and see if that help.

Also a guy wrote he had success with his vr when he did not connect it to the computer while he was installing the graphic card driver. He also did a custom install where he only selected to install the driver and nothing els.

But in general i think you have to wait for a driver update to fix your problem, but give it a try.

I dont think the problem is hardware related.

I have setup my Vive Pro with the wireless adapter and it is fully functional. Unfortunately I am unable to get it to work when I enable VR in Enscape. Everything works perfectly when my headset is physically connected although as soon as I switch to the wireless adapter it no longer functions. I also noticed that if I have my wireless setup ready to go then click on Enable VR, Enscape just locks up, although when I am physically connected then click on "Enable VR" it loads with no issues.

For troubleshooting I tried the Vive headset with the wireless adapter with other programs/games and it works. Is there a limitation with Enscape that it does not support wireless headset on the Vive or am I missing a setting somewhere?

In this case, since it seems to lock up when you try to use it wirelessly with Enscape, please kindly submit a feedback report and click "Include log files into Feedback" that may be very helpful in order to resolve this problem. In the submission form please also include a reference to this thread, or copy paste the description of your issue!

In the meantime, please make sure that your graphics card drivers and windows is up to date! Even outdated graphics card drivers could be responsible for this problem. Further, what you could also try is to start Enscape with the Vive wirelessly after you set the "Rendering Quality" in the Rendering tab of our Visual Settings to Draft - just as a further means to troubleshoot this.

I have had a similar issue with the Vive Pro where Enscape locks up if you try to turn off VR or close Enscape. They were looking into it for me as this was happening on a fully up to date system/software and using wireless or wired connection. I managed to reduce the crashing by completely removing the graphics drivers and Steam VR and then doing a fresh install of them. As you say, it works perfectly with everything else though which is odd.

I am actually an IT technician so feel free to contact me if you want some help diagnosing the problem. It would also be good to know if you are having the same issue as us as it would show the problem may be more persistent in the Enscape/HTC Vive Pro relationship.

Cheers

Hoping someone has an idea. The Vive only draws one eye (the left). The right eye is just light blue solid in the hangar. Then, in-flight, the left eye is a squished image of both eyes, while the right eye is black.

Or before reinstalling everything attach a log.txt. Most often such problems are caused by a plugin. In that case remove *every* plugin you have except the plugin.admin and the XPLM and XPwidgets frameworks. (just put them onto your desktop or in a temporary folder) then run X Plane again with a native plane. If your display is Ok, put back one by one your plugins until your problem recurs. Then look for help from the developer (or reseller) of the faulty plugin.

I have a similar problem , my left eye draws fine but my right eye draws +- 2cm to the right it is es iff all my instruments in my dashboard are pult out and put back in my dashboard 2cm to the right.

...uninstalling all Vive software (Viveport, Dashboard, drivers etc) and downloading the latest version of that (even though I had updated the Vive "Firmware" through SteamVR). Apparently, the version I had was no longer supported, so the latest firmware updates didn't download.

Same problem, but mine is for Windows Mixed Reality. Uninstalled everything-- X Plane, SteamVR, and Mixed Reality Software, then reinstalled. No solution. I contacted X Plane as well--they have not been helpful. So I've been flying one-eyed in the meantime, which works wonderfully. I can't wait to see with both eyes.

For anyone who's also flying like a pirate until they figure out the fix, you can shift the blind eye from bright white/blue to gray/black by hitting Advanced Menu > View > Toggle Sunglasses. Just toggle them on and off and it will darken your blind eye enough to make it bearable for flying.
