Scholarships for Class XI/XII students (Science Stream only)
Applications are invited for the award of many scholarships worth Rs 50,000/- to Rs 50,000/- each from bona fide students of government recognized schools/colleges of Class XI/XII (Science stream only)
The Purpose of conducting a series of such periodical tests is to ignite students’ interest in pursuing accurate knowledge and to prepare them for competitive skills, such as CAT, GATE, GRE, TOEFL and various other tests for admission to higher studies in good institutes as wells
Only bona fide students registered in colleges are eligible for this scholarship
Eligibility Criteria and Awards
First and Second Year Degree: Engineering/MBBS/BAMS/BHMS/BUMS/BDS/12th (Science), BCA and BSC (all)/Diploma Engg (only Final Year)
10 or more scholarships of Rs. 25,000/- each with Rs. 35,000/- to Rank No.1 in this Category*
Third and Fourth Year Degree: Engineering/MBBS/BAMS/BHMS/BUMS/BDS/BCA and BSC (only Computer and IT)
10 or more scholarships of Rs. 35,000/- each with Rs. 50,000/- to Rank No.1 in this Category*
In a Category/Group of Minimum 1000 plus candidates all over India
Certificates: Certificate of application are also awarded to all who score 40% and above in the test with All India Ranking (AIR)
NEST-2014: The scholarships are awarded based on merit in an online test of two hours
The test comprises of four sections of 200 questions (50 marks for each question) in Physics and Chemistry, Maths/Biology, English language
Simple Logic and General Knowledge: 25 marks
The syllabus is generally based on the content and level of CET, CAT, GATE, GRE, TOEFL etc
Thus, any books that prepare you for these tests will also help you NEST
Test Centres:
In all State Capitals and other major cities of India, such as Agra, Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi and NCR, Durgapur, Ernakulam, (Cochin), Goa, Guwahati, Gwalior, Hubli Hyderabad, Indore, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nashik, Panipat, Patna, Pune, Ranchi, Trichy, Vadodara, Vishakapatnam etc.
You can option for maximum 3 choices of cities in order of preference where you would like to take the test
Except in a situation beyond our control, we will inform you about any such change in advance, at least 15 days before the test

Participation Fee: 600/- (Rupees Six Hundred only) till 30th September, 2013
Send your application completely filled up along with a demand draft of Rs 500/- (Rs Five hundred only) in favour of SEMCI India payable at Mumbai to the Director, NEST, C/o SEMCI India, B-1, Piccadilly Flats, 57-J, Clare Road, Byculla, Mumbai-400008

Important Dates
Last date of submission of application form: 30th September, 2013
Therefore, there is late fee of Rs. 100/- till 30th November, 2013 and Rs. 200/-: 31st December, 2013
Result: Result will be displayed in the Result menu of our website www.nest.net.in in the last week ofApril, 2014
