Dear Friends:

Once in a great while a chick will decide it is time to come out
early' and often the owner after 24 hours will decide to help the
chick out by removing shell and sack' once you get to the mid section
of the bottom of chick and realize that the chick is still attached to
the sack and yoke..do not pull the chick out..like a baby who has come
into this world early it must be Left in a incubator to finish
growing.

Instructions: Leave the chick attached to the bottom of the egg for
about 5 hours..then gently pick up the half egg and chick and turn it
over on it's other side by placing it on a paper towel' never pull the
chick loose from the yoke or sack attached by the egg. after a day or
two depending on how early the chick is..you will see the enlarged
attached sack began to shrink and finally will detach it's self from
the chick. You can save a chick by following these directions.

After you see the chick or duck etc..up and walking on it's own...you
can then move it to your brooder box. Remember the chick is still
feeding from the attached yoke--don't worry about food or water until
all is complete. most chicks wont eat or drink for a couple of days
after they have hatched.
