Now shall we look at the mother hen' her nature tells her to turn her
eggs' and she ever so gently complies. She is careful how she
stands...she knows how to stick upon her nest and she knows how and
when to stop turning her eggs. She listens for them to chirp' she
waits and watches for them to hatch' once they have she protects them
with her own life. shelters them from the rain and night air...leads
them to food and water. she is truly a mommies that knows best.
I watched one of my hens today ' she took her beak and slowly pushed
out one egg at a time and that egg began to hatch one at a time...she
knows and times the delivery with a nature that is inside her. she sat
for 21 days on 12 eggs and she hatched 11- she had already pushed out
one egg 10 days before the eggs hatched..therefore she knew the bad
egg was there.
I find it amazing how this wonderful nature of a chicken takes over
when they are going to produce new life.
I love raising chickens said my dad' and grandparents , only
difference is I wont eat mine or sell to be killed if I know that is
the reason they are being bought. My dad and grand parents took a ax
and set the table. lol
