Hey Pete.
I found the original audio for your review. I have it saved in our Google Drive. Just let me know what email address to share it with. Clearly, there is plenty of background noise - birds, cars, etc - but no one was near us when we were in the cemetery. It's possible there were people down by the pond, but not that I recall. We waited to start recording until any visitors had left. Then it was just Boots and I ... and obviously a few spirits.

Thanks for sending the file through Google Drive. I see you tried sending a secondary access link later on with a legal notice not to share the audio file. I didn't intend on sharing the file but may I ask why I hear a bunch of people speaking after the voice saying "shotgun" when you stated that no one else was near you at the time?

It sounds like a few people other than the two of you, as if they are walking on the path near the cemetery or something along those lines?

As I mentioned previously, there may have been some people down by the pond, or there may have possibly even been some people coming up the main drive, but I cannot say if there was or wasn't. As far as anyone within eyesight, there was not. We were careful not to record while anyone was in the immediate vicinity, within sight or within earshot to ensure there was no contamination in our recording other than the unavoidable wildlife and traffic noise. Had there been, we wouldn't be having this discussion because I would not have posted the recording.
I heard those voices as well - which are clearly indiscernible - and I had considered the possibility of people being nearby, but no one that we saw while this recording was made. The only word that can be heard clearly from that group of voices is "Shotgun" though I spent a lot of time trying to decipher what those other voices are saying. Since I could only make out "Shotgun" I omitted the unintelligible chatter from the recording I posted.
Also, we didn't hear any voices at the time of the recording. We didn't catch these until we got home and began analyzing our recordings.
So is it possible that there were people nearby that were out of sight? Sure, but it would be oddly coincidental that someone out of sight down by the pond or on the main drive - distances of 40+ yards - would say "Shotgun" loud enough to be recorded seconds after we asked a pointed query ("You can tell me what happened"), especially when we weren't speaking loudly enough for anyone within that range to hear what we were asking.
We have fairly basic equipment - a Tascam DR-05 Digital Recorder, a PC, and Audacity. If you have a way to enhance the other voices, it may debunk the "Shotgun" voice altogether, and I have no problem with that. If it can be determined that it is not an EVP, I'll happily remove the recording from our Social Media sites.
As for the legal notice, I'm not sure why that even needs to be discussed or mentioned. We believe we captured a Class A EVP and we are simply trying to protect our interest.
