Monument preservation

Hello all! Just found this group, although I've been interested in Bachelor's Grove since I was a child. In fact, it was an inspiration for me to go into the field of Historic Preservation. I am currently the Director of Preservation at Oakland cemetery in Atlanta. I visit home (Palos area) a few times a year and I was wondering who, if anyone is in charge of repairs, reconstruction, etc of the monuments on the site. I know there aren't many left but I have experience with everything from small headstones to rebuilding obelisks with a crane so if anyone wants help with this part of the site's maintenance I would love to help out next time I'm home.

Funny you posted your message today. I was recently going to try any tackle something at the cemetery and your skill set sounds perfect. I will send you a private email about your efforts to help with the monuments.
