The following information pertains to the use of the SPH0645 Digital MEMS Microphone. This microphone is in use during scientific studies at Bachelors Grove cemetery. Although this microphone has excellent audio quality, it was found that setting up this microphone had certain unresolved software setting complaints floating around the Internet.
This message is to provide the solution for correcting the low volume DC offset problem that many people have encountered. The following Google Document will describe everything required to set up the microphone from start until finish, including the important ALSA settings and software required.
