Register a new version of a ConnectedPDF document
Changed or updated PDF documents can be recorded on the ConnectedPDF server by registering new versions, with all new versions tracked. You can also optionally upload the new version to the server.
When registering a new version, the document owner can inform all document users of the new version with an update notice that will be shown within most PDF readers. (Business Only)

Redaction Plugin for Microsoft Word (Business only)
Allows users to create a redacted PDF document from Microsoft Word 2010/2013. The plugin produces two different views of the same redacted PDF document. The first view is of the redacted PDF document, which anyone can read as long as they open the file in a PDF reader. This file will block out any redacted text. Alternatively, those with a Microsoft AD RMS-enabled PDF reader and the proper credentials have the ability to read the document in an un-redacted format. That means that all of the content that you blocked out is now visible to the authorized users.

I use foxit reader version FoxitReader.enu.setup.2.4.4.0911.x64.run in linux (peppermint os 10). I searched for customizing shortcut keys, and got the answer is "No" from here, but this answer is old (from 2015). And with the new version of foxit reader I used, go to Help -> Keyboard mapping, and got thisenter image description here

but I don't know how to customize with this, I click in a action-keyboard, but nothing happens. Since the option Keyboard mapping shows a table with many actions still are not assigned shortcut keys, I guest that it not just a table of shorcut keys, and we may customize shortcut keys in this version of foxit reader. Could you confirm that?

I have an ugly but effective solution. I use the "typewriter" feature of Foxit reader frequently when annotating PDFs. The workaround for me was simply to write a tiny script that uses xdotool to send key commands which navigate through Foxit Reader's menus e.g.

Foxit Reader is a free PDF document viewer and creator with a rich feature set. Whether you're a consumer, business, government agency, or educational organization, you need to read, create, sign, and annotate (comment on) PDF documents and fill out PDF forms. Foxit Reader is a feature rich PDF viewer which allows you to open, view, sign, and print any PDF file. Foxit Reader is the only high volume PDF reader providing a complete PDF creation solution, providing the power of PDF creation to every desktop. Foxit Reader comes equipped with comprehensive protection against security vulnerabilities, keeping your system and company safe. Note that ConnectedPDF can not be used portably due to it requiring a locally-installed service.

I am not a Foxit user, and I might misunderstand something when trying to download and install their print-to-PDF solution yesterday, but it seems to me that their current version of free PDF reader does not provide a PDF printer; so I ended up installing a trial version of the Editor to be able to test things.

Since upgrading to EverNote 10 (currently 10.10.5.7 build 2171) I can no longer save a pdf from FoxIt to Evernote. This capability was working prior to upgrading from Evernote 6 to Evernote 10. I am on FoxIt 10.1.1.36576. Opening a pdf note from EverNote uses FoxIt (default pdf reader), and any edits are saved back to the original note. Any advice on how to restore this FoxIt function? Thanks.

I have used the Foxit pdf reader for a loooooong time on Windoze and Linux. On my Manjaro test virtual machine I just ran pamac foxitreader. It pulled the package from AUR and installed it with a BUNCH of dependencies including gstreamer0 which I found curious. The program works and is the current version.

I have not tested this (I don't have Foxit), but I was curious what Chat GPT-4 would say when asked about possible solutions to best automate reader. I asked it specifically about using a COM API (Foxit does have an API). It barfed up the following tester which may or may not work. Either way, the API reference docs can be found here. I would think the API would be more reliable then sending commands to the GUI.

But after upgrading to the currently latest release, v10.01.1, the results look quite promising. The remaining constraint is, that quite a lot of lines, that are saved as two lines by foxit (separate table rows in the original PDF file) are now saved as one line by gs. But that can be handled by the data processing done later on.

I have installed Foxit Reader in Fedora, using wine. I found a foxit Linux version, but it is not like the windows version, because there are many things that cannot be done, compared to the Windows version of Foxit.

I want to know if there are any PDF readers in Linux that will give me all the features I listed above. Possible dependencies on a certain desktop (KDE, LXDE etc.) are not an issue, as I have them all installed.

Foxit PDF Reader the alternative multilingual PDF reader, packed full of useful features and notably quicker than its competitors. Foxit is a small program, so installation is hardly time consuming and opening documents is lightning quick, it also comes with a customizable sleek UI with toolbars which feature utilities such as search tool, zoom, text selection, rotate and more. With Foxit you have more control over how you view your documents, for example, if you only wish to view the text of the PDF file Foxit will remove all images leaving just text; there is also a full-screen mode and Foxit even has a text-to-speech feature that can read aloud your document which is especially useful for the visually impaired.

First released in 2004 by developers Foxit Corporation, it attracted attention for being able to do exactly what Adobe Reader does, only quicker and with less stress on PC resources. Over the years developers tweaked Foxit adding new features and streamlining the UI; v2.2 included support for word capturing, advanced search, bookmarks synchronization and multi-tab browsing enabling you to view multiple files in one window. Leading up to the latest version 5.0.x Foxit has become more advanced and more secure minus all the bugs which are evident in Adobe Reader. Version 5 supports comment tools so you can add annotations to documents, form filler, editing tools and new skins. Its security features include trust manager (safe mode viewing), digital signature verification platform and a security warning dialogue which warns users if the PDF attempts to run a harmful external command.

Foxit PDF Reader 2.0 is the last to support Windows 95/NT 4.0/98/ME. All versions of Foxit support Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7. Foxit is also compatible with Linux.

Foxit comes in basic and full versions which are both free to download. All Foxit versions are stable and run well, however a favored version of the Foxit reader in v3.1; under stress tests it comes out best and just works flawlessly without the need for many of all the new features in later versions.

Pros: Lightning fast, small installation file, packed full of useful features, secure.
Cons: Installs add-ons with latest version (Ask toolbar).

To access the Portable Document Format (PDF) version you must have a PDF reader installed. If you do not already have such a reader, there are numerous PDF readers available for download on theInternet:
