Anyone got any idea how long downhaul rope should be ?

I feel I should change it before it goes......bound to do it at first comp!!!!

Take one side of the downhaul and measure and mark say 2m from the end. Then pull all the way through to the other side until the mark appears, (taking care not to pull the end through). Measure from the new end to the mark add 2m and voila, there’s your length.

Good idea, I shall measure mine and get it replaced this week end.

Just a thought.. has anyone warned the fishing tackle industry to stock up on 0.5mm Dyneema as the A Class association are re-roping for the 2013 season J
