a good home for scores of books?

Hello, all,

We've been charged with emptying a closet under the eaves of our hospital's original building, It contains several dozen boxes (most unopened) of the hospital's 1900-1935 history. 

We'll keep some copies and we just hate the idea of trashing the rest. If anyone else has been in this position I'd love to know if you've come up with any creative solutions! Set designers, for example?
