Excellent capabilities, no assembly and good expansion options

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R1AIV9PR6DYHK1 This baby monitor is actually a great video monitoring system including these things we wanted to highlight:
- multiple camera support (only one camera comes in this package)
- night vision
- audio listening
- long battery life in the receiver
- easy to adjust volume and brightness levels
- great range
- mounting equipment for the camera
- included belt clip and kickstand for the monitor.
The starter kit, as we are calling this, comes with one camera and the monitor, all the required power and charging cables and the mounting hardware. As shown in the video, we did not like the packaging. It was great to look at but too much with the twist ties, tape and unneeded box space.
We ran tests for audio, daytime, wall lighting and nighttime (total darkness) and the camera always performed well with quick adjustments with the front brightness control. Audio was
easily adjusted on the sides too. The indicator lights really depend on how long your child gets, so that did not mean much to us. It might work well for some parents. we were also able to easily reprogram the privacy connection per the instructions. The battery lasted quite well if you follow the charging directions.
I can see adding more cameras to this system and using it as an actual affordable digital camera system making this a great longer term investment from babies to toddlers to young kids playing around the house and yard (as long as a plug is available).
In summary a great tool for not only those with babies, but as a home video camera system too.

Be cautious!

Just about to send my second attempt back - first on battery on the handheld did not charge and second one once charged, battery only lasts 30min.
Also very disappointingly - customer service was terrible. Held on the line for over 10min before I gave up and no-one responded to the request I submitted on their website. Very disappointing after a good experience with an older product of theirs.

perfect simple little monitor

PROS: Works fine in the dark, good colors during the day, very sensitive mike on the camera, light indicator for the sound volume on the receiver
CONS: receiver battery last about 3 hours, there is a slight - but audible sound feedback on the receiver, but it could be just our unit
