Love it

I spent literally hours researching replacement video monitors for my Lorex that I had paid $300 for almost 2 years ago. This one has everything that I was searching for. Split screen for seeing and hearing 2 cameras at once without having to toggle back and forth. I love that there is no menu to scroll thru, like my old one, eg. to adjust brightness (think 2am!) or change between cameras. If this monitor can do it, there's a button for it. The buttons are not easy to mix up or accidentally hit. On my old one there was a button I frequently hit by accident which would cause the camera unit in baby's room to play terrible, loud, tinny sounding versions of lullabies, which would immediately wake any sleeping child. I didn't care about a monitor whose cameras could move, I just need to see/hear a sleeping toddler and infant twins in their cribs with 2 different cameras; zoom is a nice feature though.
Only minor criticism, there is no time display on this monitor.
Really not a big deal but helpful to have only 1 electronic to mess with in the middle of the night when determining whether or not it's time to get up to nurse a fusing baby. Overall, love it and worth every penny!

Good video monitor

Overall this is a great video monitoring system. Easy set-up, easy operating, good video.
Pros:
-The set up was easy with mostly clear instructions.
-Love the night time camera, we mounted the camera near the ceiling in our daughter's room and we can still see her chest rise and fall.
-The audio of the monitor is great. It only picks up on the child's sounds. It eliminates all household background noise.
-We only have one camera set up right now, but with a new baby on the way we are anxious to test out both cameras in two different rooms. I like the split screen, although when the new baby comes I will probably set it on the scan option.
-The long cords make installation a sinch!
-Option to eliminate video and only play audio.
-Long battery life. The battery life saver is a nice feature!
-No static
-No noisy 'hum' like some other monitors.
-The monitor comes with safety clips for the long cords to mount to the
wall.
Cons:
-Only 1 of the 2 camera's audio comes in on the monitor. You have to select the monitor you wish to have audio played on.
-I wish the night time camera had an even dimmer light to it. It dim's several levels but the dimmest still illuminates our whole bedroom.
Overall a good monitor! Our daughter is 18 months old and we had been using just a regular audio monitor. I am so much more comfortable with the video monitor on at night. If she fusses a bit I can see first if she is okay or if I can wait a minute for her to settle herself.

happy with purchase

I'm quite happy with this monitor. I can see both kids in their separate rooms on one screen. It's easy to use, the picture is really clear (even with the night vision, which comes on automatically when the room is dark), and the sound sensitivity is really good. I also love the background noise blocking feature. We use white noise for both kids, and found that we couldn't use a regular audio monitor because it would just pick up the white noise. This one blocks out the white noise and just picks up any new noise. My only complaint (and it's a pretty major one - definitely a feature that should be fixed) is that you can only hear one room at a time, and you have to select which one you want to listen to. So, even though you can see both rooms, you can only hear the one you've selected. Ideally, the monitor would listen to both rooms, and alert you when there's noise in either one (or at least, that setting should be an option).
