Best range out there

Our daughter's room is about 65' from the master bedroom but there are probably 6-8 walls in between the two, including closets, hallways, and the bedrooms themselves. After trying several monitors with 750-800 feet unobstructed ranges that would constantly cut in and out at night while we were sleeping and even had a bit of static while connected, we got this one and it handles the obstructed range without any problems. New model (3038) no longer has chime at start-up and includes one-touch zoom and camera scrolling if you've got more than one camera hooked up to the monitor.

Not too bad...

I have been shopping for a while for a dual monitor for my 2 kids. I have 2 babies under the age of 3 and both are in their own rooms/cribs. I wanted 2 cameras and a single monitor so that i could eliminate the need for 2 monitors and eliminate the interference between the 2 signals. I had a couple of main requirements for my purchase, Sleep mode for the main monitor and camera scanning. This monitor does have sleep mode, which is great for at night when you don't want to have the bright light of the monitor on all night. If one of the babies start crying, i can hear it and just push the sleep button to see which baby is upset. Second requirement, scanning. When the monitor is on, i can set it to scan both rooms so that it changes between cameras every 10 seconds. This is helpful so that I can keep an eye on both of them without having to manually switch cameras. Other pros for this unit is the video, it's crystal clear and both cameras work great in the day or night.
They also have wall mounts, which gives a perfect view into the cribs. The only cons so far is that this unit does not have lullaby's. Most units have a music button on the monitor and the cameras will start playing soft music. This is helpful when a baby starts crying and can easily be lulled back to sleep with the music instead of having to go to their room. It's also not viewable over the internet, which is a bummer. Overall, I am happy with the monitor. It's hard to find every parents dream monitor. Seems like you get a blend of functionality over all monitors but never find the perfect one with everything you want.

Pretty Good Monitor

We purchased this monitor to replace our Summer Infant monitor as we were expecting our second child and the Summer Infant only had one camera and it was 3 years old. Right off the bat, this has been a great monitor. The pan and zoom features are nice. It has two way communication which has worked very nicely with our 3 year old. It also has a night light built in which is ok. The battery will not last long while on the "ON" position. If you keep it in "VOX" mode, the battery will last. This feature lets the monitor go dark and silent if there is no activity picked up by the camera. But as soon as your child makes a noise, it goes on. What I wish it did was while in VOX mode it would automatically go to the child who is making the noise. Meaning, if you have it on camera 1 and the noise is on camera 2, it won't go on. At least I haven't been able to figure out how to make it do that yet. We have had ZERO interference with our Verizon Fios Wifi too. We had horrible issues with
the Summer Infant interfering with the Wifi so this was a nice plus for us. ]
