Briefly, my client has 4 x 16 line Yealink T46G handsets, with 9 lines each active on Babblevoice. They also have about 10 Cisco SPA504G handsets on Horizon, all connected via a Cisco POE switch which has been reset to factory. This connects to a Draytek 2950 which has a primary Internet feed from a Virgin router running 200MBs/15MBs and a backup feed from a Utility Warehouse ADSL at 2.5MBs/600KBs. The Draytek is configured with QOS, and SIP_ALG is disabled.
The issue is that the Yealink handsets often become unavailable, whilst the Cisco handsets never go off-line. I have also tried using a Cisco with Babblevoice on the same network and it appeared to work perfectly. The most common error message displayed on the Yealink handsets is "Unknown URI"
As a test I have connected one of the Yealink Handsets directly to the Draytek 2925 router (bypassing the Cisco POE switch), and another directly to the ADSL router. The Yealink connected to the ADSL router has been almost flawless ever since, whilst the other bypassing the Cisco switch had no improvement.
I have also previously tried a different model of Yealink (T27), and the results were the same.
The Yealink handsets are all running the latest firmware as of last week.
Clearly there is an issue between the Yealink handsets connecting to Babblevoice via either the Draytek or the Virgin router, but it has no effect on the Cisco handsets connected to either Horizon or Babblevoice.
Does anyone have any clever ideas?
