Is there any plan to release 1.0.0 version in short term?

I believe BaaxBox is a great backend, but as far as I know it has 3 huge weaknesses:
1) OrientDB is embedded, so you cannot use OrientDB studio and also you cannot install an OrientDB cluster. Also, using an old version of OrientDB.
2) BaasBox is built with Play! framework and the version used is 2 years old.
3) lots of unresolved issues.

Am I wrong?

Hi,
you are partially right :)
The server project is still active and we use it for our own projects and for our clients.
We are working on a brand-restyle and as soon as we are ready, we will release v.1.0.0
Unfortunately the SDKs have less support than the server, I admit it

OrientDB: you can tell to BaasBox (1.0.0-M3) to start the ODB daemon in order to accepts connections by its console tool and have a raw interaction with the internal database. Migration to a more recent version of ODB is planned but is not a priority. As the matter of fact is a very hard task because they changed a lot of Java API and this means a lot of code refactoring.
Play: you are right. In this case too, the Play team completely changed the framework. They even removed the "play" executable. We should change a lot of things just to say we are using the latest version, but actually, at the moment, we do not feel the urge to use it.

Is there any roadmap for BaasBox? I really want to use it for my upcoming project but it seems like there has not been any major update for the past years.
