Hi,

yesterday i had a talk with the person responsible for wireless connectivity at the Sabka Ghar.

As the BSNL has wireline only till Ramuji's house, the sabka ghar has been provided the broadband via ADSL line till Ramuji's house and subsequently a radio link between ramuji's house and sabka ghar.
The major issue here is that the radio link on Ramuji's side is not power backed up and it stops working on power failure. Moreover the radio link on both side needs to be manually started again on power restore as it goes out of sync.

The person in charge has agreed to check on the issue and we might need to plan for power back up on other side of radio link.

The phone line provided at the sabka Ghar is on WLL and can not be used for broadband as of now. ( i am not sure whether BSNL is not providing services or technically it is not feasible w/o further equipments, needs more exploration ..)

We need to figure out best way to have the connectivity in collaboration with BSNL. In addition we have to work on defining the internet connectivity plan in the campus and work towards installation of required cables/equipments etc.

Cable installations has to be planned during the construction stage itself.

regards
renu

Through WLL only limited bandwidth was available... say 64 KBPS.... we had tried it and discared that technology... and went for a 2 MBPS broadband..... Though it is fairly expensive....

Yes, a power back at Ramu's house and an automatic switching on mechanism should adequately address the matter...

Thanks Renu for taking it on...

@muneshji-how much is the 2mbps costing? Is it through BSNL?we can try meeting their team for a subsidized net connection.

Also is there any airtel connection nearby?
