Hey, all,

A quick reminder for those I've already talked to and a heads-up for those I haven't:  Friday I'm leaving work at around 4 and heading up to Castle Rock for some bouldering fun, and I'd welcome any and all company I can get. :)  I'll have a crash pad, and be hanging mostly around the Magoo boulder (one of the boulders by Castle Rock proper) if anyone wants to find me.  Drop me an email or give me a call (802-922-2214) with any questions.  Hope to see y'all there.

Directions:

Castle rock state park parking lot:
From the intersection of 9 and 35 (Skyline), head south about 2 miles or so.  Main parking lot is on the right, clearly marked.  Other (free) parking is just past the main enterance, on both sides of the road.  You'll probably see cars parked near the enterance.

Magoo boulder:
When you enter the main parking lot through the gate, look for the trail to your left, behind the sign with the map.  Follow that trail up to the semi-road-ish trail intersection, and go right on that.  Up just past the outhouse on your right are the boulders and Castle rock.

A quick update on bouldering:

weather.com says we've got about a 30-50% chance of precipitation between 4 and 7 PM, which is slightly concerning.  Basically, if it rains, we can't boulder.  So far, though, skies are blue and it's not raining yet.  So we're still (tentatively) on, but I'll send out an update email sometime around 3:30 with the final decision.  The backup plan is an early trip over to PG, which will probably have about 0 people in it around 4.

Hope to see y'all later.

I'm game on PG anytime this afternoon. I have Martin's rope too, had
a blast leading on Wed.

So apparently it's not raining here, but up on the hills it looks like it is. :(

To PG!
