Dear 900 users,

Please review your projects and consider asking for NMR time on the 900
MHz system. We will try to fill the July 5th - July 19th time period
first.

In an effort to make the most effective use of the system and to
increase the probability of success on the 900, we ask that you collect
some test data on your sample with another instrument before requesting
time.

Bruker has told us that a proton/carbon (TCI) cryoprobe will be
installed sometime in July. This will allow us to explore the
suitability of 13C - detected expts.

Bruker is also working on setting up an internet connection for the
system.

The current sensitivity of the 900 (without a cryoprobe) is about
2400:1, or about twice that of the average 600 MHz system.

For questions / comments / requests - reply to JGPe...@lbl.gov or
510-486-4355.

The website for the system is located at:
http://www.cchem.berkeley.edu/wemmer/BayArea900/BayArea900.html

A Nuts&Bolts link has recently been added to the website. It includes
some of the nitty-gritty details that should be useful for users.
