Does anyone know where I can find/download the
Sanyo CRD-254SH SCSI CDROM drive for Windows 95?
It looks like WIN95 does not with drive to support
it, since I saw the perform status has the following
message:

Drive D: Using MS-DOS compatiblity mode file system

And if I took out configration lines from config.sys;
WIN95,then, can't read from my CDROM. I have been to
MedSoft and Sanyo website to try to get some info, but
nothing I can find from their website.

Any information would be great appreciated. Thansk.

I have this CD-ROM drive on one of my Win95 systems, and it's supported as
another SCSI device on my adaptor (Adaptec AIC-7880 on motherboard --
equivalent to 2940UW). It sounds like your Win95 adaptor drivers haven't been
loaded properly. Try this: restore the 16-bit driver configuration to
config.sys and then restrart Win95; it should then see your CD-ROM drive as
before. Next, go to the Control Panel and run the Add New Hardware applet to
let Win95 detect your SCSI adaptor and load the proper drivers.

If this is successful, you should be able to remove the 16-bit drivers from
config.sys. If not, tell us what your system configuration is so we can try to
identify the problem. Good luck.
