"Line 78 is a commuter express bus route that offers a one-seat bus ride
between Monterey and Santa Cruz for the first time in mass transit
history in the state of California. Line 78 was made possible through
special grants."

Greyhound never drove between Santa Cruz and Monterey? Funny, I used to
have a schedule that said it did.

Greyhound isn't considered to be mass transit though it is public
transportation just like the airlines.

Remember, it said "one seat bus ride." It was possible to go between
Santa Cruz and Monterey in the past, but you had to change buses, either
in Castroville or Salinas, or both. It was a very long trip. My daughter
tried it a few months ago and with all the connections it took her
around five hours.

But as you stated, Greyhound is not considered mass transit anyway.
