For more information on viatology, including its etymology and foreign
translations, please visit http://wwtl.info/viatology.html . As roads
become more scientifically analysed in the scientific and scholastic
communities, domestic and abroad, viatology may one day become a
legitimate science like biology, astronomy, or zootology.

Mmm no, the point has been made repeatedly that everyone who reads these
newsgroups is sick to death of your constant crap about viatrollogy.
I agree. I avoid this group now due to all you see here is spam and
the "viatrology" crap. Rather see the blokes talk about buses,
trains, road rage, etc.
I wonder if this guy is also "john munch." They share a single minded
obliviousness to the impression their spam makes on others.
Not really: Joey Jolley/John Munch, et al, is just a clown, a
hit-and-run troll who no doubt cackles up his sleeve each time he posts
his nonsense about car-free cities, etc.
Calrog is clearly a much more needy individual who craves attention (and
website hits).

By the way, I *love* "viatrollogy" and suggest that we use that term
from here on out when dissing Rogers.

Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Let's talk about BUSES!

Carl: Could you please explain what zootology is?
Study of sax-playing muppets, I presume?
The scientific study of roads already exists, and has a name:
"odology".
The root word "odo" is also seen in "odometer".
Science simply means the accumulation of knowledge. As to legitimacy,
this has more to do with words like *peer review*, and *hypothesis
testing*.
You choose to do neither. Ergo, your attempts at creating a field
'viatology' are neither permitting peer review, or hypothesis testing,
and
should be rejected. Unless you can make a case otherwise.
Zootology and the v-word bring up the same result if they are plugged into the
search engine at dictionary.com. I know, I checked.
I think a better definition of the V-word can be found at

Which says Rogers made it up.

Viatology is the study of a self-hating closeted homosexual blowhard
that makes a shitty, boring website all about bragging about annoying
java/html tricks attempting to mask a site with no substance.
Odology, on the other hand, is the kind of information found on
legitimate transportation websites like aaroads.com.

OK, but do you think you could dial the homophobia down a notch or
three? Sheesh.
