Charles Barkley knows one way to stop Cam Newton from
celebrating in Super Bowl 50: Take him out.

The TNT analyst said although he loves the Panthers quarterback
— another Auburn product — he wouldn't find it too fun to play
against him.

"If I played against Cam Newton, I'd put a hit on him, no
question," Barkley said on the "Dan Patrick Show" Wednesday
morning, "because they rub it in pretty good. It's fun to watch,
I guess, as a fan if you like Carolina. And I love sports,
they're having so much fun, but it wouldn't be a lot of fun to
play against.

"If youre dabbing, and Superman-ing and you're kicking my butt,
I'm going to get the players together and say, 'The first guy
who can hit that guy and take him out — we got to get rid of
him, because they rub it in pretty good."

The Panthers' "exuberance" is one reason, Barkley said, some
aren't huge fans of the team taking on Peyton Manning and the
Broncos on Feb. 7. The NBA great does think there's a racial
component, but admits that he hates talking about it because
"black people have way more important things" to discuss when it
comes to race.

"ESPN's already started their crap about black vs. white, good
vs. evil, and I know a lot of those fools over there got radio
talk shows," Barkley said, "but you can just see they're framing
this narrative: Black against white, good against evil. It
really annoys the hell out of me. We really just can't
appreciate the greatness of Peyton and clearly Cam is on the
track to become one of the greatest players ever."

Another reason Barkley believes people resent the signal-caller:
The rumors that he was paid to go to Auburn. The NCAA found no
major violations in its investigation.

"As I've always said, if we gave Cam Newton $200,000 to come to
Auburn, boy, that was a good investment," Barkley joked. "I wish
my financial people had good investments like that."

Hey Chuck!
