bay area rescue riders?

hey everyone, I realize that there aren't many people who are here
anymore but i have a "vintage usenet" question. There used to be a
group on there that organized a bay area motorcycle rapid response team
in case of emergencies like earthquakes, large fires, etc. the goal was
to get some basic training and then make ourselves available to first
responder teams in case there was a need to get somewhere a typical
vehicle couldn't go easily or quickly.

Does that group exist anymore? given whats going on with the current
fire situation, i'm interested in joining back in and assisting as
needed.
