I am planning to buy a cruiser. I have narrowed my choice to theYamaha
Virago1100, and the Suzuki Intruder 1400. Any suggestion will be
appreciated.

Buy a Harley. IMO, these two are both butt-ugly dogs.

A number of years ago MCN did an articel comparing cruisers. Go find it,
it'll help you decide. Clue. Lowest rank was Intruder. Highest rank was
Virago.

My suggestion in SUZUKI Intruder 1400.
Did you saw SHADOW from Honda?
Just a side-comment, I don't think it's fair of motorcycle.com to rate
bikes based on appearance, as beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Oh, and they rated the Marauder LOWER than the Virago in the second
article listed above, FYI. Considering the number of used Marauders
I've seen at the dealer, I'm not too suprised.
What I'd recommend you do is to write up what cost range you're looking
at, what your requirements are (cc, passengers, aftermarket, drive,
other features) and take a look at and a test ride of these bikes. They
all have their advantages and disadvantages.
There are other reviews which rate the Virago (and, I'm sure, the other
bikes) higher than the motorcycle.com's reviews. Ignore their rankings
and ignore their comments on appearance. Instead, read their
information about power bands, clearance, comfort, aftermarket,
features, and especially look at the images to help you out.
A cruiser purchase is an expression of you, not a search for the
biggest, best, fastest, or newest. Choose what you like. (Of course,
any net-wisdom with concrete information about problems with bikes
should be heeded tho'.)
