Selected Accomplishments
* Increased corporate information services sales by 5% during the
first month as a Senior Technology Consultant managing only two
accounts.
* Bought out 50% owner during corporate breakup and reorganized
corporation to grow business and effectively run current business
while exceeding the year-end D&B P&L Projections.
* Economically reached 35,000 to 70,000 members of target audience and
received over 1,000 hot leads by exhibiting at seven trade shows over
two years.
* Negotiated and established more than 25 IT Reseller agreements to
provide clients with full range of quality products in function as
Value Added Reseller (VAR).
* Successfully submitted GSA schedule with 11 vendor's product lines
and the corporation's project management, network engineering, design,
and implementation services.
* Created comprehensive 46-page Employee Handbook that explained
overview of the corporation, general employee policies, compensation
and employee administration, employee benefits, employee expenses, and
miscellaneous policies.
* Brought in over $486,000 in profit to corporation in one year by
performing over 3,600 hours of Project Management which were billed at
$135 profit per hour. Replaced by two full-time Project Managers to
cover the same accounts at contract completion.
* Re-engineered two 1,800+ node networks in hostile multilingual
(Japanese & English) environment on time and under budget so that
increased productivity paid for the network design within 24 hours of
implementation. Re-engineering included network design, cross
connect/punch down charts, rack layouts, new closet floor layouts,
detailed bill of materials, implementation plans, and back out
strategies.
* Analyzed, designed and implemented point-of-sale, order processing,
and inventory control system which enabled base commissary to carry
wider variety of short-shelf-life products and better serve customers
by increasing limited warehouse space by the amount of goods in
transit.
* Saved $1,200,000 in design and implementation of 600-node
Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) by purchasing components and
performing implementation in-house.
* Saved $750,000 over three years by bringing trouble calls and
computer component replacement in-house and training appropriate staff
to handle these functions.
* Saved $200,000 by analyzing and designing inventory control,
tracking, and layaway program for Marine Corps Exchange and
implementing program in timely manner by training and utilizing
interns.
* Reallocated staff time to focus on troubleshooting and saved
approximately $100,000 annually by enabling anyone on system to log
trouble calls, tracking parts inventory, and tracking time use of
repair personnel.
* Saved $180,000 in outside computer training costs for four-day
600-end user course by performing functions in-house.
* Saved over $50,000 without impacting service to users following
office downsizing by training and utilizing interns instead of
consultants to provide programming support for eleven systems.
* Increased quality of computer training and completely filled
previously unpopular courses by developing course according to Systems
Approach to Training (SAT) and encouraging other instructors to do so.
