COMMENTS: Candidate must have at least five years experience supporting
multi-protocol environments and experience working with and/or
implementing the following technologies. PC Window client
installs, upgrades, and troubleshooting from the hardware level
up. MAC client installs, upgrades, and troubleshooting from
the hardware level up. Microsoft NT and/or MAC certification
is a plus. Must have experience with DOS 5.0 up and MAC OS 7.0
and up. Must have specific experience working in
multi-protocol environments including, IPX, TCP/IP, and
AppleTalk. Must have UNIX experience and understand how to
troubleshoot between MAC, PC, and UNIX environments. Must have
excellent customer skills. Must have an aggressive "can do"
attitude that will help to redefine/improve service to
customers. Must have enough experience to be innovative and
creative about solving network and client/server issues and how
to integrate and deliver information to cross functional groups
with a customer environment. Must understnad and have worked
with modem technology to solve problems related to
communications equipment. Must have installing and
troubleshooting peripheral equipment e.g. printers, keyboards,
mice, etc. Must have experience in the use of LAN/WAN network
management tools similar to Spectrum and/or HP Openview. Must
have experience working with Cisco routing equipment and
Cabletron network hubs. Must have a firm understanding of the
OSI network model and how it relates to multi-protocol
environment. Professional certification in one of the
following: MAC, PC Windows, Novell NT.
